CHRISTINA COBLE SMITH,
FOUNDER & CEO
Ms. Smith is a disaster management specialist with over 11 years of experience providing grant administration and program management for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and FEMA Housing programs.
Ms. Smith began her career as a first responder to major storms Katrina, Rita, Irene, Lee and Sandy conducting damage assessments and hazardous waste identification, scope management, cost control, and financial analysis of disaster relief efforts.
Upon obtaining her degree, a Master of Science in Public Health, she began to take on more challenging roles, including Program Manager for NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program and Construction Manager for South Carolina’s Disaster Recovery Program. She founded Elysian Consulting in 2016. Since then, Ms. Smith has successfully coordinated federal and state support programs to reconcile applicant and financial data, developed closeout procedures for federal and municipal projects, and provided employment for over 200 full time workers.
